This page is for those people who appear often but aren't the main characters.
Jane
Jane is a secretary in the factory. She appears in 11 of the 16 episodes.
She always comes to the canteen for breakfast, usually hungover from sambuca and usually asking for "twelve rounds of white" although, occasionally she asks for one brown if she's on a detox.
She also makes a bet with the girls about Bren and Tony "getting it on" although, on a holiday in Marbella, her and Tony have a drunken kiss.
Norman is played by two actors. To the left is Andrew Livingston who plays him in the first episode, Monday, which was the first time we heard the famous words..."I fell off a diving board in Guernsey." He is also in episode 3, Scandal.
Norman
To the left is Adrian Hood who plays Norman in the second series. He still keeps on about having agrophobia every time he comes into the canteen. Then, is episode 8 of series 2 he comes in and says he's developed a fear of bread.
Glenda
Glenda, or Big Glen as Tony calls her, works with Norman and delivers the bread when he can't, mainly because he is having a panic attack. She has had an operation which she likes to talk about a lot.
Mr Michael
Mr Michael appears to be the owner of the factory, although it is never officially mentioned. During the first series he is in a relationship with Philippa, the reason she is working there. But, during series 2, the both decide they want to split up but Mr Micheal does it before Philippa can say anything.
Babs
We first meet Babs when Petula brings her as a date for Tony at the christmas party in episode 5 of series 1. She is a bit dim but knows her kitchen appliances which impresses Stan so much he takes her home. She likes to tell everyone she is from Urmston and repeats it several times. She then appears when Petuala blows up the caravan. Babs tells Bren that Petula needs money or the council will tow away the caravan.
Steve Greengrass
Steve is in a few episodes. He is a bit strange and can only eat one type of food at a time which means he can't eat things like pizza or lasagne as they're in layers. He was supposed to go to Marbella but slipped on some orange juice Anita and had left and broke his leg. But then when Bren couldn't go he ended up going after all.
Bob
Bob works in the factory and appears a few times. One time he wants bacon but can't get an answer out of Anita as to whether there is any. He also gets ignored by Twinkle when he wants a tea. He comes in with Jane in episode 6 of series 2 and performs Jingle Bells.
Tom
Tom appears in series 2. He works in Human Resources and gets into a relationship with Philippa when she breaks up with Mr Michael.
Malcom
Malcom appears throughout series 2. Anita gets him to protect her from being attacked when she is driving but she also brings him into the canteen. She puts on a voice and talks to everyone as him.
